National Health Fund (NFZ) health insurance

(legal basis: Act on healthcare benefits financed from public funds of 27 August 2004 (Journal of Laws 210, Item 2135, as amended)

1) doctoral students shall be registered for health insurance:

• by their parents (if they do not work and do not run an economic activity) up to the age of 26,
• by employed spouse,
• by the employer (if they are employed based on an employment contract, contract of mandate),
• on their own (if they run an economic activity),
• by the University, if: they are 26 years old and are not eligible for another insurance (also for persons under 26, if they cannot be registered for the insurance by their parents, e.g. if the parents died)
