ONLINE CANDIDATE REGISTRATION (IRK)
The link to the Online Candidate Registration (IRK) will be active from August 5, 2024, 8:00 a.m. to August 9, 2024, 11:59 p.m.
All required documents referred to in § 7 sec. 2 points 1-6 of the Admission rules to the Doctoral School, and materials confirming the own scientific activity (e.g. at least the title page confirming the authorship of the publication) should be included in the Online Candidate Registration (IRK).
Candidates for the WUM Student PhD path, when registering in the IRK system, choose one of the paths: medical sciences, health sciences or pharmaceutical sciences (according to the subject of the project). After printing out the "Application for admission to the school", please write WUM STUDENT PHD at the top of the application.
SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS TO THE DOCTORAL SCHOOL OFFICE
The candidate submits all documents previously submitted to the IRK system as well as an application for admission to the Doctoral School (generated from the IRK system).
Documents are accepted from August 5 to 9, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Doctoral School office.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE EXAM
Attention: Applicants who have a language certificate, please send a scan of it to the following e-mail address: maciej.ganczar@wum.edu.pl. In response, you will receive information whether the certificate is the basis for exemption from the first stage of recruitment - the exam in a foreign language.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE EXAM will take place on August 13, 2024 at 9:00 am, in classroom 231/232 at Didactic Center (Księcia Trojdena 2a street).

The Doctoral School of the Medical University of Warsaw educates doctoral students in the following disciplines:
• medical science
• health sciences
• pharmaceutical sciences
Limits of places to the Doctoral School of the Medical University of Warsaw in the academic year 2024/2025:
1) medical science path - 38 places;
2) path of health science - 12 places;
3) pharmaceutical science path - 10 places;
4) international path (only for foreigners) - 10 places;
5) WUM student PhD path - 10 places.
One candidate may only apply for one education path in a given academic year.
Recruitment to the Doctoral School of the Medical University of Warsaw is conducted in the form of a competition for each path on the same rules and criteria for assessing candidates, and includes stages in accordance with the recruitment schedule:
1) registration in the Internet Candidate Recruitment system (IRK) and submission by the person applying for admission to the Doctoral School of the required documents referred to in § 7 sec. 1 and 2 of the recruitment rules
2) a written exam in a foreign language at B2 level, subject to § 6 of the recruitment rules
3) evaluation of the research project
4) interview
5) establishing and announcing the list of people admitted to the Doctoral School
The recruitment procedure is conducted in three stages:
Stage I - confirmation of knowledge of a foreign language (passing an exam or recognizing a certificate);
Stage II - evaluation of the achievements to date, taking into account the average of all grades from second-cycle studies or equivalent, and the candidate's academic achievements;
Stage III - an interview in English, assessment of the scientific value of the planned work and the possibility of its implementation.
* The basis for qualifying for the 2nd stage is the positive completion of the 1st stage.
* The basis for qualifying for the 3rd stage is obtainging the minimum of 5 points at the 2nd stage.
* In the case of WUM student PhD path, a condition for admission is a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4,0.
